Le 18 juin 2021, pour la première fois de l’histoire, un choeur classique faisait équipe avec un chœur de gueuleurs métal (dit growlers) afin d’offrir une expérience musicale complètement inédite. Le 27 octobre 2022, pour un soir seulement, cette expérience sera renouvelée à l’église du Sacré-Coeur de Jésus.

From March 7 to 13th, I’ll be presenting three of my book projects at the Artspace bookfair in Peterborough, Ontario. This week-long event will feature talks, panels, and takeovers by small press publishers, comics artists and graphic novelists, letterpress printers, and other types of book and paper arts makers.

Du 7 au 13 mars, je présenterai trois de mes projets de livres au salon du livre d’Artspace à Peterborough (Ontario). Cet événement dure d’une semaine et comprendra plusieurs conférences, des panels d’éditeurs des petits presses, des artistes de bande dessinée et des romanciers graphiques, des imprimeurs typographiques et d’autres types de fabricants de livres.

Performance November 27, 2017

For several weeks in October and November 2017, I observed the activities and events that occurred from 5:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening at the busy corner of Avenida Jimenez and Calle 5 in Bogotá, Colombia.

From observation posts in nearby cafes and on the street, I compiled lists of what I observed. The result of my observation was a performance for three voices which was presented at the University National in Bogotá.

Points of Departure

On May 6, starting at 9 pm, I’ll present Points of Departure a 12 hour 10 minute performance of poems. This performance will be part of “Words & [ ] — a Durational Conference of Art & Thought” a 56-hour (French/English bilingual) event that will take place at The Darling Foundry May 6 – 8 2016. The conference will feature round-the-clock live programming of 100 interdisciplinary performative presentations.

Points of Departure

Each day for a period of one-year, from February 11th 2010 to February 10th 2011, I composed a poem for the project Points of Departure. Over that period, 256 poems were completed.

For the performance, I present the results of this yearlong project in a single uninterrupted reading of a duration of 12 hours and 10 minutes. Every two minutes, in chronological order, I present the poem composed for the corresponding day. For those days for which there was no completed text, I remain silent for two minutes

L’écrivain et commissaire Sylvain Campeau propose un programme de trois œuvres réunissant poésie et art sonore. Une approche qui n’est pas basée sur l’accompagnement musical du texte, mais bien sur une rencontre dynamique entre les deux médiums. Les auditeurs de passage à CLARK pourront consulter trois projets distincts. L’œuvre Havres de Sylvain Campeau et Chantal Dumas est une narration multilingue à trois personnages autour de sites historiques qui composent le Vieux-Montréal. Personne ne sait que je t’aime unit les voix poétiques de Martine Audet et José Acquelin au travail sonore de Michel F. Côté. Publié aux éditions Planète rebelle, l’œuvre se développe en courts fragments comme autant de chambres que l’on traverse. Finalement, la pièce In the Time, dont la conception sonore a été confiée à Christian Calcon est tirée du projet Annunciations réalisé par Fortner Anderson.
